  • Resident bloggers

GVPTA members can request one of our bloggers to come out to their shows and write a blog post about them. Our blog posts are similar to reviews, but not focused on the technical aspects of a production; rather, our goal is to reflect on our experience attending the show, to get our readers excited about the show specifically and engaged in theatre-going in general.

Our blog posts are shared on our social media accounts and included in our Casting the Net newsletter. They are consistently one of our most popular features, and a great way for members to spread the word of their productions.

Our resident bloggers are a group of dedicated volunteers who happen to love theatre and are darn good writers. Currently blogging for us are:

  • Keara Barnes (also our blogging coordinator)
  • Carmel Amit
  • Heather Evens
  • Joe Hinks
  • Trilby Jeeves
  • Alyssa Kostello
  • Mary Littlejohn
  • Kaylin Metchie
  • Andrew Wade
  • Gerald Williams

If you’d like a GVPTA blogger to attend one of your productions, please email us at info@gvpta.ca

If you’re a strong writer, like theatre, and are willing to commit to attending at least 1 or 2 shows per month and then writing a 500-word reflection on your experience within 2-3 days of seeing the show, please drop us a line at communications@gvpta.ca to tell us about yourself and why you’d be a great addition to our team!
